Alot of things happened this weekend despite my brain still being fried from the weekend before.

Peaking Lights came to KEXP and did an in studio. They had their son with them too and were absurdly awesome. I said a few totally stupid things but they still put me on their guest list.

Dee Dee also came by…

The show was great. As my friend said, it’s awesome how they take like dub/dance hall beats and make them actually good. Dull Knife was up first (how many times per month can you see drone?). I swear I switched into some kind of weird trance for the first like, thirty minutes or something. There were some really questionable people in the audience, the worst of which was this dude:

Don’t.

He kept clapping super loudly. Whatever.

(I may or may not be hung over right now…)

After that we headed over to Vermillion in search of the totally non-elusive Sharlese from KEXP. Whatta lady. We saw some great DJ’s there, and it was totally ear blasting loud, which is one thing you can ALWAYS count on at Vermillion, which has become bliss in my mind. Also art by that guy….

So I was on my way out and just about to cross the street when Truckasaurus started just blasting music on the street.

Everyone was watching.

Wednesday was best of Seattle Party with Seattle Weekly. I won’t even go into details it is too much to handle. Here is an assortment of photos…

Okay I’ll explain these: Margot Bird is an awesome woman. Everyone should love her.

And she’s moving to Brooklyn. And she is having a show soon before she leaves Seattle. I’ll let you know about that sooooon.
